Hey, I’m Kelcie.

I own and operate 12th & 2nd Soapery all on my own. I know you may think the name is odd for a business because what if we move? I thought about that too when I was trying to figure out what to call this little biz of mine, but I just kept coming back to it. It felt right. I know that we may not always be located on the corner of 12th & 2nd, but it’s always ok to remember where you got started. 

 

 

Getting started, you ask? Well, you didn’t really, but I’ll tell you anyways.

 

Back in 2017 I was a stay at home mom who was depressed and desperately needed an outlet to find joy in. I’m not really sure how I landed on soap making, but I figured at least creating it would be beneficial to our household. Everyone needs soap, ya know? Little did I know that I would fall in love with making it. I spent endless hours researching and developing and testing my own recipes until I finally got it just how I wanted it. By then we were drowning in soap. I was giving it away to everyone who would take it. But making soap isn’t cheap. Ingredients cost a lot and I couldn’t keep making it if I was just going to give it away. So that’s when 12th & 2nd Soapery was born. Of course as time went on, I branched out and started adding in awesome new products and will continue to do so as long as it’s making me happy.

Now, here’s the thing. I will never tell you that any of these products are going to cure you of something or any other claim like that. My products are basic and straight forward and are not a magic cure all for your ailments. I’d love for that to be the case, but it isn’t. Soap is meant to clean. That’s it. Any other claim that’s made about it would be false and I don’t want to lie to my customers. I always list every single ingredient and I am as transparent as possible. I want you to love the product for what it is and not some ridiculous thing that I claim it can do. I love these products. I spend countless hours making them, tending to them, packaging them, and shipping them. So, I hope that you will love them too. Truly.
